The County of Sacramento ("County") is soliciting Bids from a qualified Tank Contractor ("Contractor") to provide design and construction services to construct a new 350,000 gallon potable water prestressed concrete tank at the Rio Consumnes Correctional Center ("RCCC"). The Contractor will complete site preparation and construction of a gravel access road surrounding the proposed tank. The Contractor will also install the proposed water lines and conduit to connect the tank to the existing water treatment facility. The Contractor will be required to submit design drawings and calculations for the proposed tank and foundation suitable for obtaining building permits sealed by an Engineer registered in the State of California. This work will take place within a secure correctional facility. Background checks will be required to enter the facility. All regulations set forth by the facility shall be followed throughout the duration of the project. Security Background checks are required for all persons attending the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Follow the instruction on Appendix C for completing the background check. Tank contractor must meet the minimum requirements as specified in the Technical Specification 10 30 05 Strand Wound, Prestressed Concrete Tank attached to this solicitation. Provide at time of bid the submittals listed in Section 1.03 A of Technical Specifications, 13 30 05 and Appendix B of the Special Provisions. The three low bidders shall submit escrow bid documents.
