Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage

The City of Rancho Mirage has entered into the Tenth Amendment to a Statutory Development Agreement, identified as Case No. DA21-0002, with Newage Rancho Mirage, LLC for the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage project. Located at 68900 Frank Sinatra Drive on a 35.07-acre site, the project was approved by the City Council on December 18, 2025, with final project approval granted on January 15, 2026. The development is governed by Ordinance No. 1233 and complies with the California Environmental Quality Act, having received a Mitigated Negative Declaration certifying that the project will not have a significant environmental impact. The scope of work includes the construction of 106 condo units, a subterranean parking structure, and event spaces. A key component is the creation of the Sky Mesa recreational area, which will feature a restaurant, pool area, and additional lawn event space. To facilitate this, the agreement includes a General Plan Zoning Map Amendment to rezone approximately 3.88 acres from Mountain Reserve to Resort Hotel and the establishment of three parcels via Tentative Parcel Map TPM38768. The developer is required to provide updated engineering, architectural, and landscaping plans for review to ensure all project specifications are met.
