Full Description

On July 17, 2025, Facilities Management Maintenance Division (FM-MSD) responded to a flooding occurrence at 135 North Alessandro Street, Banning, California (BA101) after a ruptured water supply hose line caused significant flooding throughout the building. Staff were notified the following morning on July 18, 2025 and promptly arrived on site, where they discovered extensive water damage. Restoration vendors were scheduled immediately, and mitigation efforts began the same day to stabilize conditions, prevent further damage, and begin the restoration process. The exact cause is still under review, and further assessment is underway to determine all contributing factors. Pursuant to the authority delegated in Resolution 2003-23 by the Board of Supervisors (Board) FM-MSD issued an Emergency Declaration so that the emergency extraction of water, drying affected areas, and restoration of the property to its pre-loss condition could be completed.
