Full Description
Separate sealed bids for the RIVERWAY BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENTS [STBG 3400(446)] will be received by the City Clerk at Riverside City Hall, 2950 NW Vivion Road, Riverside, Missouri until 10:00 A.M., on September 30, 2026, and then publicly opened and read aloud at Riverside City Hall. All bids shall be submitted in hard copy form. See final checklist for items to be included on envelope.
Reconstruction of Riverway Boulevard from NW Tullison Road to NW Platte Drive with an adjacent 10’ wide concrete trail and 5’ wide concrete sidewalk, a roundabout at the intersection of Riverway Boulevard and NW Tullison Road, reconstruction of approximately 700’ of NW Tullison Road with a 10’ concrete trail, extension of approximately 1,100’ of Riverside Drive with a 5’ wide concrete sidewalk, construction of a cul-de-sacat NW Business Park Lane, obliteration and construction of realigned Missouri Route 9 on-ramp, re-construction of Missouri Route 9 off-ramp, two retaining walls under Missouri Route 9 bridges, parking lot improvements, detention basin and associated project grading, driveway entrances, landscaping, storm sewer improvements, and other associated features. The Add Alternate includes reconstruction of Riverway Boulevard and NW Platte Drive intersection with a roundabout as well as reconstruction of approximately 800’ of NW Platte Drive with two 10’ wide concrete trails, parking lot improvements, and associated project grading, driveway entrances, landscaping, storm sewer improvements, and other associated features.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City Engineer at the above city hall address. Copies may be purchased at the office of Drexel Technologies, Inc. Planroom, located at 10840 W. 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214, (913) 371-4430. Such documents will be at the contractor’s expense. Such fee shall be non-refundable. Contract documents can also be viewed or downloaded at (https://projectbids.drexeltech.com). The Information for bidders and advertisement can be viewed on the City of Riverside’s website http://www.riversidemo.gov/bids.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on September 16, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. at Riverside City Hall. All bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting.
All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher.
The City of Riverside hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, disability, or national origin, age, or ancestry in consideration for an award.
All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List or Prime Vendor List. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening.
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.
A certified or cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal.
The DBE Goal for this project is 0.0%, 1 Trainee.
No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder complying with the Conditions of the Contract Documents within the Owner’s budget. The Bidder to whom the awards are made will be notified at the earliest possible date. The Owner, however, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in his interest.
