Road Materials, Aggregate for Surface Treatments

Collin County Public Works Department is seeking bids for the supply of various types of aggregate for surface treatments to maintain and improve over 600 miles of county roads, adhering to TxDOT Standard Specifications for Construction and Maintenance of Highways, Streets and Bridges, 2024 Edition. The solicitation, numbered 2026-278, requires delivery of Type B Grade 3, 4, and 5 aggregates to multiple stockpiles across McKinney, Farmersville, Weston, Copeville, and Old Valdasta, with specific tonnage amounts for each location, as well as one-ton pickup quantities for each grade. Required documentation includes a completed W-9, Conflict of Interest Questionnaire, and a Recycled Material Content Affidavit if seeking preferences. Insurance must cover commercial general liability, workers’ compensation, and commercial automobile liability, with certificates submitted upon award. Contracts exceeding $25,000 require a payment bond, and those over $100,000 require a performance bond. Delivery must occur within 48 hours of purchase order receipt, and all loads require signed delivery tickets from Collin County personnel for payment. Invoices must be mailed to the Auditor’s Office with the correct purchase order number and a legible receipt signature.
