Rogue River Maintenance Dredging 2017

The Portland District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a contract for dredging on the Rogue River at Gold Beach, in Curry County, Oregon. A pipeline dredge or a clamshell dredge is required on this contract. One upland site and one surf zone site will be provided for placement of all material. All of the work is maintenance dredging. There is also the possibility of optional work for the USCG. The anticipated scope within this contract will include dredging and placement of approximately 100,000 cubic yards of material from work areas in the main channel and the boat basin access channel. Material placement will be split between the upland (gravels) and surf zone (sand) sites. The option for USCG would be for approximately 20,000 cubic yards. The environmental in-water work window is July 15 through October 31. An extension will be sought increasing the work window to May 31. Anticipated dredging depths will be -13' MLLW plus 4'of allowable advanced maintenance (AAM) for the main channel and -10' MLLW plus 2' of AAM for the boat basin access channel and the optional USCG work. Actual project depths will be determined in the solicitation. Payment method will be by pre-post survey.
