Title: Roof Replacement Agronomy Building (12), AAFC Indian Head Research Farm Description: The Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Indian Head Research Farm is located in Indian Head, SK and has a building that is in need of a roof replacement. The building is known as the Agronomy building – it is a two-story wood framed structure with a concrete foundation, vinyl cladding and a shingled roof. The roof surface area is approximately 4600 square feet. The Work under this Contract consists of furnishing all labour, materials and equipment necessary to perform the work of the Project. The work will include, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: • Removal and replacement of the asphalt shingles including installation of new underlayment and new -ply low slope roofing on one section • Replace and/or treat existing wood framing and decking as shown on drawings and/or directed by Engineer • Remove store and reinstall the existing metal stairs and railings. • Remove existing masonry chimney below the roof line and cladding where essential for replacing the roof. • Remove and replace existing gutters and downspouts. • Patch all holes and openings in the deck as required where equipment is abandoned and extend all pipe penetrations for remaining equipment. • Furnish and install new sheet metal flashing and trim. Basis of selection: This is a two phase selection process. Bidders responding to this ITT are to submit a bid in two phases. Phase One bids cover only the qualifications and experience of the Bidders. Following evaluation of Phase One bids, Bidders are advised of their competitive standing and responsive Phase One Bidders will be invited to submit a Phase Two bid. Phase Two bids cover the pricing. A combination of the Phase One and Phase Two submissions constitutes the final bid. Initially, suppliers are invited to submit bids in the first phase of the selection procedure. Only the Phase One information asked for in the ITT is to be included in Phase One bids, and evaluation of Phase One bids will be carried out only on the Phase One information requested. Construction Time: The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by August 31, 2025. Canada retains the right to negotiate with any supplier on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada. AAFC has adopted the Integrity Regime administered by Public Services and Procurement Canada. As a result, the integrity provisions are being applied in AAFC procurement activities as outlined in this solicitation. Canada will make available Notices of Proposed Procurement (NPP), bid solicitations and related documents for download through the Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS) at https://canadabuys.canada.ca/en/solicitation-opportunities. Canada is not responsible and will not assume any liabilities whatsoever for the information found on websites of third parties. In the event an NPP, bid solicitation or related documentation would be amended, Canada will not be sending notifications. Canada will post all amendments, including significant enquiries received and their replies, using GETS. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to regularly consult GETS for the most up-to-date information. Canada will not be liable for any oversight on the Bidder's part nor for notification services offered by a third party.
