Rosenburg II Public School New Elementary School & Child Care Centre

The Waterloo Region District School Board is soliciting bids for the construction of the Rosenburg II Public School, a new two-storey, 6,163 square metre elementary school and child care centre. This project includes all associated site work and is governed by a Stipulated Price Contract based on the CCDC 2 2020 Edition. The contract includes a total of $1,827,000.00 in designated cash allowances covering various items such as independent testing, door hardware, signage, utility connection charges, and security systems. The project is scheduled to be ready for occupancy and takeover by July 14, 2028. Bidding is restricted to prequalified General Contractors who must provide proof of current COR Certification. The contract will be awarded to the lowest compliant bidder who demonstrates satisfactory references and experience. Submissions must be made electronically through the designated Bidding System, with a final closing deadline of September 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Successful bidders are required to provide performance and payment bonds, an annual Non-Disclosure Agreement, and specific insurance and WSIB clearances. Additionally, contractors must submit a Domestic Supply Chain Plan and adhere to Buy Ontario requirements. The project involves rigorous quality control, site inspections by the Owner and Consultant, and compliance with various regulatory standards, including the Construction Act and environmental regulations regarding excess soil.
