Combined Synopsis/Solicitation The Department of Veteran Affairs Greater Los Angles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) requires a contractor to provide General Waste Removal and Disposal Services. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. GENERAL WASTE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL SERVICES DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK AND REQUIREMENTS 1. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall provide General Waste Removal and Disposal Services and the revenue generation for hauling of recyclable materials for three VA facilities for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS). 2. TYPE OF CONTRACT: Firm-Fixed Price Small Business Set-Aside 3. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The resulting contract will be for a base and four (4) one-year option periods. 4. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS: The Solicitation shall set forth specific requirements and responsibilities to be performed by the Contractor. SITE VISIT: A site visit shall take place on MONDAY, AUGUST 20, 2018 at 09:30 AM. PDT, Contractors shall meet at the Environmental Management Services Building 218, Room 300 at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) located at 11301 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90047 then go to the Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center located at 16111 Plummer Street, North Hills, CA 91343, then the last location will be the Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center located at 351 East Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. Contractors shall be responsible for their own transportation to each of these facilities. All interested contractors are strongly encouraged to attend this site visit prior to bidding on this requirement for purposes of understanding all of the requirements and aspects of the tasks to be accomplished.
