Full Description

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Fort Polk, LA: This is a sole source synopsis published for informational purposes only. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy Agency Requirements. This proposed procurement will be a sole source action under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 562111 - Solid Waste Collection and the Size Standard is $35.5M. This proposed action is to issue a short term award to extend the current contract for Solid Waste Management, Collection and Disposal of solid waste materials generated by installation personnel and transport to a permitted landfill. All containers, trucks and other equipment are contractor provided and personnel must possess the skills, knowledge and training to perform the services. The awarded contract will have a period of performance from 01 January 2015 to 30 June 2015 (six (6) months). This short term contract modification is being awarded pending issuance of a separate formal solicitation for a longer duration contract that will be issued in the near future. The proposed source is Red River Services Corporation., 4004 E Hwy 290, Dripping Springs, TX, 78620-4207. A determination by the government not to compete this short term proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, quotation or exception to the intent to purchase on a sole source basis, which shall be considered by the Government. Responses are due No Later Than 22 December 04:00PM CST. Only inquiries/information received by this date and time will be considered. The Contracting Officer for this award will be Ms. Glenda Calcote at 337-531-0902, email glenda.s.calcote.civ@mail.mil. Note that email filters at Fort Polk are designed to filter email without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e., .exe, or .zip files).
