The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting a market research effort through a Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified contractors capable of providing linen laundering services for the Fisher House facility at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in Florida. This notice is not a solicitation but is intended to gather information on the availability and capabilities of vendors who can supply professional laundering for high-quality linens, including specialty Egyptian cotton fabrics, on a firm fixed-price basis for one year. The Fisher House serves as temporary lodging for veterans and their families during medical treatment, necessitating reliable and healthcare-grade laundering of linens to ensure comfort and dignity. Services anticipated include scheduled linen collection, professional laundering with appropriate handling of delicate textiles, quality inspection, delivery of clean linens, and inventory tracking, all compliant with OSHA, CDC, and VA standards. Interested contractors must provide detailed company information, including experience in commercial linen laundering particularly for healthcare or hospitality sectors, geographic capability to serve Bay Pines, a general pricing model, and relevant contract details if applicable. The VA encourages responses from Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) but will only set aside acquisitions for them if sufficient qualified responses meeting the Non-manufacturer Rule are received.
