Full Description
1) Deliver approximately 3,000 to 6,000 Tons of Redmond Salts and/or Morton Salt 2) Time: approximately October 15, 2026 to April 15, 2028. This will be for 2 Winter seasons. 3) Successful bidders shall have enough equipment to deliver a minimum 250 tons from Redmond Minerals. 4) Successful bidder will be required to deliver the required quantity of salt material within 24 hours after being notified 5) Pickup sites are from Redmond Minerals from Redmond, Utah and form Morton Salt Grantsville, Utah delivery is to Summit County Public Works 1755 S Hoytsville Rd, Wanship, Utah our mileage from Redmond is 154 miles one-way using Provo Canyon. 168 miles using Parley’s Canyon. Morton Salt is 71 miles one way.(Bidder shall verify mileage) 6) The successful bidder shall submit their certificate of insurance with their contract 7) Bids shall be submitted on company letterhead and shall identify the cost for the service in dollars per ton for material delivered as specified. The Bid shall be signed by an authorized agent for the company. 8) The successful bidder will be required to enter into a Contract using the Summit County Standard Materials and Services Agreement. A copy of the boiler plate agreement is attached Bids must be sealed in an envelope to the Public Works Superintendent and labeled “Bid for Salt Hauling Contract 2026 -2028. Bids submitted by mail shall be placed in a second envelope addressed to the Deputy Public Works Director at 1755 South Hoytsville Road 84017 or can be hand delivered to Summit County Public Works 1755 South Hoytsville Road.
