Santa Ana Truck Terminal Project

The Santa Ana Truck Terminal Project, approved by the City of Rialto on October 28, 2025, involves the development of a terminal facility on a 45.7-acre parcel of previously disturbed land identified as APN 0258-141-18. Located on the south side of Santa Ana Avenue, approximately 1,800 feet east of Riverside Avenue, the project scope includes the construction of a 172,445 square foot truck terminal building featuring 280 loading bays and 5,890 square feet of office space. Additionally, the project will include an 18,700 square foot maintenance shop with eight bays and 890 square feet of office space, along with comprehensive site improvements including paving, landscaping, lighting, fencing, and drainage. The facility is designed to accommodate significant parking capacity, consisting of 679 trailer stalls, 100 tractor stalls, and 149 passenger vehicle stalls. This development is governed by Conditional Development Permit No. 2023-0007, Precise Plan of Design No. 2023-0006, and Environmental Assessment Review No. 2023-0010. The project's approval followed the preparation of an Environmental Impact Report and the adoption of a Statement of Overriding Considerations. Primary administrative oversight is managed by the City of Rialto Development Services Department, with Daniel Casey serving as the Principal Planner and lead agency contact.
