Scalable-Modern Air Combat Environment Sole Source SAP CAVE Training Sites

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division awarded a sole-source contract, solicitation N6134026P0006, to Immersive Display Solutions, Inc. for the procurement of software licenses and maintenance for Scalable Display Technologies. This acquisition, valued at $11,576.25, was conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) in accordance with FAR 13.106. The services support four Combined Arms Virtual Environment (CAVE) training sites, including NAWDC, EWTGPAC, EWTGLANT Dome, and EWTGLANT 4M 220 Curve, with the primary place of performance located in Fallon, Nevada. The award was justified as a sole-source procurement because Immersive Display Solutions, Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing maintenance for the proprietary Scalable Display system. This system is uniquely integrated with Battlespace Simulations, Inc. (MACE) and MVRSimulations (VRSG) software; any alternative vendor would necessitate a cost-prohibitive total system redesign. The scope of work ensures uninterrupted 3D visual rendering and tactical scenario generation for high-fidelity training in flight simulation, electronic warfare, and joint air-ground operations.
