--Scale-up Processing of Soy Adhesives for Low Density Chemical Free Biodegradable Fiber Cardboard

Under the authority of FAR 15, the U.S. Army Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army-Soldier Systems Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a contract on a sole source basis with Kansas St ate University (of Manhattan, KS 66506). This order will be for scale-up of production of soy adhesives for military packaging; the scale-up will bring production capacity from gram quantities to kilogram quantities. This research effort is an expansion of previous efforts performed by Kansas State and can best achieve successful results by continued utilization of the Kansas State technical resources. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determin ing whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
