The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is soliciting bids for scheduled and on-call trash collection, hauling, and disposal services within San Bernardino County. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, equipment, travel, and 40 cubic yard bins for two specific locations: the Essex Maintenance Station and the Barstow Maintenance Station. Scheduled pick-ups are required every Tuesday and Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with additional on-call services required as needed. The scope includes the lawful disposal of various materials such as tires, metal, plastic, and concrete, with a strict requirement for containers to have retractable covers to comply with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System storm water requirements.
