THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.Responses are due no later than 12:00 p.m. Central European Standard Time (CET) March 22, 2011. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational and planning purposes only. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Government to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Please note that the Government will NOT reimburse respondents or be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information. The Government intent is to solicit and potentially award a Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract with Base and four Option Periods in the future. The Government is researching responsible sources that can provide Student and Office Furniture and to perform installation services for Department of Defense Dependent Schools in Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Turkey and Bahrain. We would like to know your ability to handle large shipments along with other surge requirements and demands. Also identify your shipping procedures. Request you provide your current commercial warranties on these products along with your commercial maintenance/service procedures. Request you specify the testing standards that apply to the above furniture items (i.e. ANSI/BIFMA X5.5 1998). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 423210 School and Office Furniture. The Federal Supply Classification (FSC) is 7110, 7125, and 7195. Pursuant to FAR 4.1102(a), prospective vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Information requested: 1) Name and address of company, Company Point of Contact, Telephone number, Fax Number and E-mail addresses. 2) Capability information in terms of the ability to provide any or all of the School and Office Furniture and services identified above to any or all the Department of Defense Dependent Schools located throughout Europe. The capability package must be clear, concise, and complete. The Department of Defense Dependent Schools is under no obligation to provide feedback to the company, or to contact the company for clarification of any information submitted in response to this request. Capability packages should be limited to no more than 40 pages. 3) Contract references relating to School and Office Furniture delivery and delivery services OCONUS to include: Contract Number; agency supported, whether or not contractor was a prime or a subcontractor, period of performance, original contract value, final or current contract value, COR and phone/fax number, POC with current phone/fax number, and a brief description of the effort; 4) Sample commercial contract with terms and conditions for a typical purchase. Include your definition of a "typical" purchase. 5) Any other information deemed useful to the Department of Defense Dependent Schools.
