Notice of Contract Award for Science On a Sphere Agency: Department of the Air Force Office: Air Force Life Cycle Materiel Command Location: Hanscom AFB HBAK Product Code: 6730 - Photographic Projection Equipment NAICS: 333316 - Photographic equipment (except lenses) manufacturing Synopsis: This synopsis constitutes a Notice of Contract Award (NOCA), by the Air Force Materiel Command, Life Cycle Management Center, Battle Management Directorate, Aerospace Management Systems Division, Weather Branch, AFLCMC/HBAK, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731, with the intent to negotiate a contract with B/W Color Prints LLC for Science On a Sphere. This synopsis is for a contract award, IAW FAR 5.3 (d)(1), for which the Government has solicited and awarded to only one source, IAW 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "only one (1) responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." B/W Color Prints LLC is the only firm capable of meeting the Government's requirement for supplying and installing the Science On a Sphere. The purpose of the awarded contract is to provide the Air Force Weather Schoolhouse at Keesler AFB, MS with a Science On a Sphere to be used for educating and training USAF weather personnel. The Science On a Sphere is a display system that projects various visual environmental patterns onto a large spherical visual medium. An AFLCMC Ombudsman has been appointed to consider and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. Before consulting the Ombudsman concerned parties should first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendation to the Contracting Officer for resolution.
