Security Camera Equipment and Related Accessories

South Texas College is soliciting proposals for the one-time purchase and delivery of security camera equipment, licenses, and related accessories for multiple campus locations, including the Pecan, Pecan Plaza, and Technology campuses. To ensure compatibility with the existing security infrastructure, all hardware must be new, genuine Avigilon products provided by an authorized reseller, dealer, or distributor. The scope of work includes the delivery of various cameras, mounting components, PoE equipment, and five-year Avigilon Unity Enterprise Smart Plan licenses registered to the college. Installation and programming are explicitly excluded from this solicitation. Proposals must be submitted by October 22, 2026, via the OpenGov Procurement Portal or in paper format to the Purchasing Department in McAllen, Texas. Award selection is based on best value rather than the lowest price. Successful respondents must comply with various Texas Government and Education Codes, including certifications regarding tax delinquency, conflict of interest, and prohibitions against boycotting Israel or energy companies. The resulting contract will be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, with legal venue fixed in Hidalgo County.
