The County of Riverside Purchasing Department on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department-Court Services Division is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified security guard companies to provide unarmed security guard services at entrances of 13 Courts and County buildings across the County. The Superior Court of California contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department to provide court services and security at all its 12 court locations throughout the County. The Sheriff's Department provides entrance security through a contracted vendor at those locations as well as at one (1) additional county facility, using magnetometers, x-ray machines, handheld wands, and individual searches of private belongings. Security guard services must be continually supplied without interruption to deter unauthorized access and prevent the illicit passage of weapons and dangerous contraband at the various entry screening stations at the Superior Courts and County buildings. Due to the nature of this service at locations that can present hostile situations, the scope of work in this Request for Proposal (RFP) details the following required criteria: guard duties and responsibilities, guard services, screening and documentation, supervision duties, uniform appearance, and operation/training processes and procedures. Bidders’ proposals will be evaluated based on their demonstrated technical experience, ready resources, and their capacity to provide security guard services to the Superior Courts and County.
