Construction Safety Services IDIQThe Port of Seattle is establishing a Construction Safety Services IDIQ to proactively manage safety across its construction activities, addressing the growing legal and operational demands of maintaining safe worksites without disrupting port functions. With increasing judicial emphasis on owner liability for construction safety, the Port is formalizing a comprehensive program to monitor, enforce, and elevate safety standards across all projects. This initiative responds to heightened risk exposure and rising construction activity by embedding structured oversight, accountability, and continuous improvement into every phase of development. The program will enable the Port to contract with qualified service providers who can deliver specialized safety management, compliance support, and incident prevention strategies tailored to the complex, high-traffic environment of a major seaport. The solicitation, posted on July 10, 2026, falls under NAICS code 561612 for facilities support services and is managed by the Port’s Construction Management division. Primary contact for inquiries is Carol Hassard, with Ann Davidson serving as the project manager, both reachable through official Port channels. The contract will be awarded through an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity mechanism, allowing flexible scaling of safety services across multiple projects and locations within the Port’s operational footprint. Although specific performance locations and set-aside details are not yet defined, the intent is to secure a pool of qualified vendors capable of delivering responsive, high-quality safety services in alignment with evolving regulations and the Port’s commitment to zero-incident construction environments.
