The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada (CEOC), an agent of Parliament, exercises general direction and supervision over the conduct of elections and referendums at the federal level. The CEOC heads the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, commonly known as Elections Canada. EC requires social media communications consultation services to assist with preparing communications strategies, plans, activities, and initiatives related to the agency’s social media presences; social media strategies, plans and specific initiatives for the next general election (in 2025 or earlier); as well as social media policies and related toolkits for headquarters and field staff using social media. This support is required given the growing use of social media by electors, by the agency, and to respond to the rapidly evolving social media environment.
