Full Description

Service and Support Administrators (SSAs) are pivotal positions within the Developmental Disabilities (DD) system as they are involved in the assisting individuals with developmental disabilities in coordinating all the services they may need to meet their health, safety, and welfare needs. The SSA is responsible for assessing needs, ensuring the person-centered plan assessment reflects the person, facilitating service authorization, connecting person and their family to community partners and service providers, and monitoring the success. DODD has implemented the Ohio Individual Service Plan (OhioISP) as a standard assessment, planning tool, and process that will be used throughout the state and thereby better support SSAs, people with developmental disabilities, and their families. In support of the implementation of the OhioISP, stakeholders have requested training and technical assistance regarding the SSA function of assessment in the OhioISP. DODD is looking to contract with an entity to develop content and provide statewide training to both SSAs working with Ohioans with developmental disabilities as well as Ohioans with developmental disabilities on the elements of the OhioISP assessment. The training will also be used to enhance the experience of people accessing Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver services.
