Scope: The City of Ontario is seeking proposals for: Roadway & Traffic Calming Improvements: • Grinding existing pavement • Placement of ARHM overlay • Placement of traffic detection loops • Constructing rolled curb medians • Constructing ADA curb ramps • Constructing PCC sidewalk • Constructing PCC cross gutter & spandrels • Constructing residential drive approaches • Removal and replacement of PCC curb and gutter • Removal and replacement of AC base pavement • Signing & striping Adjusting to Grade: • Utility valve covers • Manhole covers and rings • Monument wells • Other appurtenances as necessary Street Light Improvements: • Installing new streetlight poles, foundations, and LED light fixtures • Installation of decorative streetlights • Installation of pull boxes and conduit • Trenching, excavation, backfill, and trench repair • Utility support • Other appurtenances necessary to complete the project as described in the project plans and specifications Landscaping & Irrigation Improvements: • Removal of existing trees • Planting new trees • Planting new shrubs and ground cover • Installation of backflow devices • Installation of tree bubblers • Installation of irrigation gate valves, drip valves, flush valves, control valves, and couplers • Installation of pop-up spray sprinklers, irrigation dripline, and tubing • Installation of wiring, conduit, sleeves, and irrigation controllers • PVC irrigation main line • PVC irrigation service lateral • Modifying existing landscaping and irrigation to match existing • Utility support • Trenching, excavation, backfill, and trench repair • Other appurtenances necessary to complete the project as described in the project plans and specifications Other Improvements: • Stripping, cleaning, and repainting existing decorative streetlights • Removal of existing parkway drains • Relocating existing street signs • Restoring and re-establishing existing monuments The Contractor shall furnish all transportation, materials, tools, time, equipment, labor and supplies to complete the improvements, together with the appurtenant work necessary or incidental to complete, in a workmanlike manner, the improvements as contemplated and as intended by the Plans and these Technical Specifications.
Notes: The bidder is solely responsible for the "on-time" submission of their electronic bid. The City will only consider bids that have been transmitted successfully and have been issued an e-bid confirmation number with a time stamp from the Bid Management System indicating that the bid was submitted successfully. Transmission of bids by any other means will not be accepted. Bidders shall be solely responsible for informing themselves with respect to the proper utilization of the bid management system, for ensuring the capability of their computer system to upload the required documents, and for the stability of their internet service. Failure of the bidder to successfully submit an electronic bid shall be at the bidder's sole risk and no relief will be given for late and/or improperly submitted bids.
