Full Description
DESCRIPTION
This is a Sources Sought Notice to identify consultants to provide necessary professional design services to perform topographic surveys and underground utility mapping services for Subproject 2 of the Critical Utilities Infrastructure Revitalization (CUIR) Project. This is not a solicitation for proposal or quotations and no award will be made from this Notice. SLAC intends to issue a formal solicitation later based on responses from this Source Sought Notice.
BACKGROUND
The Critical Utilities Infrastructure Revitalization (CUIR) Project is a capital improvement initiative to modernize SLAC’s utilities infrastructure. Many utility systems at SLAC were installed in the 1960s and have exceeded their expected service life, posing potential risks to safety, facility operations, and regulatory compliance.
CUIR’s Subproject 2 (SP2) focuses on replacing wet utility systems in strategic locations within the SLAC campus. Improvements to potable water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure are currently in the design development phase.
PLANNED SCOPE AND DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
SLAC is seeking a qualified subcontractor to perform topographic surveys and underground utility mapping services in support of the detailed design of SP2. The purpose of these services is to provide accurate, field-verified data on site terrain, surface features, and underground utilities to support informed design decisions, site layout, drainage planning, utility coordination, utility replacement/rehabilitation, and advancement of the design to the 60% milestone and eventually to a constructable set of drawings.
