AI Contract Overview
Salt Lake Community College is seeking to procure two complete Pratt & Whitney JT15D engines that are non-running and intended strictly for training and teardown purposes, along with any associated accessories. The requirement specifically excludes operational, overhaul, or airworthy engines to ensure alignment with instructional needs and maintain compatibility with the current JT15D-based training program. This approach avoids the need to modify established curriculum materials or instructional methods. Vendors are requested to submit responses by June 5, 2026, and their estimated lead times will be a critical factor in the evaluation process to determine best value. The engines are needed by August 1, 2026, and the College reserves the right not to proceed with the procurement after reviewing submissions. The solicitation reflects the College's objective to support its instructional programs with appropriate equipment while ensuring timely delivery from qualified vendors.
