SLCo FAC133199 Sheriff's Special Operations Building Re-Roof - CONST

The contract involves the complete removal and replacement of the roofing assembly on the Sheriff’s Special Operations Building located at 3510 South 700 West, South Salt Lake, UT 84119, including the roof membrane, cover board, and insulation, as defined in the contract documents. The work requires installation of a POLYVINYL-CHLORIDE (PVC) roofing system, metal flashings and counterflashings per Specification Section 076200, manufactured roof curbs, equipment supports, roof hatches, vents, and other accessories per Section 077200, and application of joint sealants, fillers, and preparation per Section 079200. All materials must be delivered in original manufacturer-sealed containers with unbroken seals, properly labeled with manufacturer name, product brand and type, date of manufacture, approval or listing agency markings, and directions for storage and mixing. Roofing moisture testing is required prior to installation, followed by post-installation infrared scan verification and third-party inspection as directed by Salt Lake County Facilities Management. The project must comply with the Salt Lake County Design and Construction Standards, including Division 01 Quality Control and Testing requirements. The contract is awarded to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder based on the base bid and prioritized alternates, with Alternate 1 being the highest priority. Bidders must submit a complete offer via the Online Solicitation System, including the Offer and Cover Summary, Schedule of Values, Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Subcontractor List, and Exhibit A – Minimum Standards for Responsiveness. The contractor must be a registered contractor in Utah, have personally examined the site, and certify no collusion or restraint of competition. The successful bidder must provide AIA Form A312-2010 Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, issued by a surety with an A.M. Best rating of A- or better and a financial size category of VII or higher, listed on the U.S. Treasury’s approved surety list.
