Salt Lake County is seeking to extend the services of Terracon under a sole source procurement to continue work on the Utah & Salt Lake Canal Trail Phase 7 Landscape Design, which has received additional funding beyond the original contract scope. The existing contract was awarded through the Specialty Landscape Architecture Pool, and this request seeks to amend that agreement to formally authorize Terracon to provide ongoing Landscape Architectural and Engineering Design, Construction Documents, Bidding Services, and Construction Period Services without initiating a new competitive bid process. The sole source justification is based on the need for continuity, expertise, and consistency with the already-established contract and project design. Interested parties who dispute the sole source determination must submit objections via email to Teresa Young at tyoung@saltlakecounty.gov no later than August 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The solicitation, identified as SLCo PAR080726 - RFI, was posted on August 7, 2026, and the response deadline aligns with the objection window. The project is located within Utah County, and all communications must be directed through the designated point of contact.
