Slurry Seal and RHMA on State Route 98

This pavement preservation project, managed by Caltrans District 11 in San Diego, focuses on State Route 98 in Imperial County. The work area extends from 1.4 miles west of Imperial Highway to 0.5 miles east of Coyote Road near Ocotillo. The scope of work includes slurry seal, cold planning, the placement of RHMA-Type G, restriping, pavement markings, rumble strips, and shoulder backing. Additional requirements involve the removal of stripe lines at the right edge and central divider. The project also includes the installation of one new wood post sign and the replacement of two existing wood post signs.
