SMV HVAC Replacement

The SMV HVAC Replacement contract entails the complete removal and replacement of all specified electric in-wall heaters, programmable thermostats, five furnaces, and four boilers with sidearm water heaters at Shadow Mountain Village within the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest. The furnaces must be Lennox EL196UH070XE36B or approved equivalents, rated at 96% efficiency with variable speed constant torque blowers, while the boilers and sidearm water heaters must be Peerless Boilers Series 63 or approved equals. The contractor is responsible for supplying all labor, materials, equipment, freight, delivery, permits, and licenses required to complete the project, which falls within the $100,000 to $250,000 magnitude range. Work must begin within ten calendar days after notice to proceed and be completed within 486 calendar days, with a mandatory performance period running from July 1, 2026, to November 1, 2026. All materials must be delivered in manufacturer’s original unopened containers and stored in protected areas at recommended temperatures; control panels must be crated with minimum one-half inch solid plywood, protected with blocking and polyethylene film, and shipped directly to the job site. Each control panel must bear a UL label conforming to UL Standard 508, and all components must be labeled to match schematic diagrams and device names. The contractor must submit a proposed project plan and safety plan within 14 business days of award, a detailed construction schedule at least 21 days before work begins, and obtain all necessary permits prior to starting work. All material specifications require prior CO/COR approval, and the contractor must provide one printed and one electronic operations and maintenance manual upon completion.
