Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s (AAFC) Quebec Research and Development Centre must remain accessible 24 hours a day during the winter months. The Quebec Research and Development Centre (AAFC-AAC) requires snow removal and salt spreading from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays and 24 hours per day on weekends and holidays. The Research and Development Centre is open 5 days per week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., although some agriculture research is conducted around the clock over extended periods of time. The services covered under these specifications include, but are not limited to, the following: a) Clearing of the areas shown on the drawings included in Annex B - Site Plan in the Request for Proposal b) At the request of a Departmental Representative, the Contractor must transport this snow to a snow dump. c) Removal of ice from the surfaces d) Performance of emergency or “as and when required” services within 2 hours of being notified by the Departmental Representative
