The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board is soliciting proposals under RFP-2026-11SNOW for comprehensive snow plowing, salting, sanding, and snow removal services across twenty-one school and facility sites in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The project is divided into six service blocks, and while proponents may bid on any number of blocks, they will be awarded a maximum of three. The contract requires the successful provider to be ready for the first snowfall of the 2026-2027 season, with an expected award date during the week of October 13, 2026. Key operational requirements include completing all site clearing by 8:00 AM for general school starts and by 7:00 AM for daycare sites, with primary service hours occurring between 5:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Cost is evaluated on a relative basis, with the lowest compliant combined price per block receiving the maximum points. Awarded vendors must submit monthly invoices to a designated contact and adhere to Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7 safety measures and the Construction Act for proper invoicing.
