Full Description

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Pyramid Systems, Inc., for the purchase of the EZ-Hatch, EZ-Pattern, and Showrack software licenses and one year subscription. This product and service has been determined to meet the definition of commercial items in accordance with Part 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has a need to procure EZ-Hatch, EZ-Pattern, and Showrack software licenses and subscription to improve operational effectiveness by optimizing the full value of the data assets maintained in the IRS core ARCHIBUS database. EZ-Hatch is required to support graphical reporting capabilities of the IRS current GDI system and meet demands for drawings, which can be utilized by non-technical users to understand various components of the real property portfolio. EZ-Pattern is required to support automated creation and generation of highlighted facilities drawings. The tool runs inside the IRS current AutoCAD and enables the highlighting and placing of text, automated processing of drawings, and storage of results in separate directories. Showrack is required to expand the functionality of the IRS current ARCHIBUS Telecom and Cabling module by providing visualization tools supporting the management of various hardware components such as servers and racks. Vendors who can provide the required item and service at prices, terms and conditions equal to or better than those which can be provided by Pyramid Systems, Inc. should submit clear and convincing data in writing substantiating an ability to furnish the entire requirement. Telephonic or email inquiries will not be accepted. Responses to this notice must be received by this office by September 26, 2008, 12:00 pm (noon), E.D.T. Responses will be accepted by facsimile at (202)283-4427. These responses may not exceed 10 pages. If a response is received that meets the IRS' requirements and analysis of both technical and pricing documentation indicate that a competitive acquisition would be more advantageous to the Government, a formal solicitation may be issued. Currently, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. Requests for same will be considered non-responsive. The reference number for this announcement is D-8-D9-01-IS-Y06-000. If no compelling responses are received, award will be made to Pyramid Systems, Inc.
