The Mission Installation Contracting Command at Fort Jackson is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified sources for providing technical support services, data reporting automation, and brand-name or equivalent equipment for the Soldier Monitoring System (SMS). This effort follows a directive to develop real-time, persistent monitoring capabilities to enhance soldier safety during training by providing geo-tracking, automated alerts for no motion or boundary breaches, emergency SOS alerts, and comprehensive data analytics. The RFI is strictly for information gathering and planning purposes, with no obligation for the Government to procure products or services, and all costs for responses are the responsibility of the respondent. The Government seeks vendors capable of supporting SMS with specific rugged hardware, including the Sigma 5 wearable tracking device, Getac S410 rugged laptop, and Getac ZX70 rugged tablet, or suitable equivalents demonstrating comparable technical specifications, environmental durability, sensor capabilities, and certifications. Required technical support services encompass system integration, troubleshooting, software updates, cybersecurity compliance, user support, and training for government personnel. Interested parties must submit detailed technical capability statements, responses to vendor questions, product information, pricing, delivery timelines, and existing contract vehicles by the May 27, 2026 deadline to specified electronic contacts. Responses must exclude classified information and clearly mark any proprietary data. This market research aims to inform the prioritization of requirements and acquisition strategies for SMS sustainment in South Carolina.
