TITLE: F3T1SS9162AW02, Sole Source Acquisition for Coastal Defense Equipment Upgrades The 4th Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to award a sole source purchase order to Coastal Defense, Inc. Required items to be purchased are: This procurement will be for the purchase of a ground control station, and upgrade/replacement of parts for the Coastal Defense Moving Target Vehicle training device. This is a comprehensive upgrade to make existing equipment semi-autonomous while still maintaining Coastal Defense's terms and warranties. This is the only known upgrade solution that maintains compatibility with the existing software installed on Coastal Defense equipment and CDI authorizes/certifies no alternate vendors, upgrades, software replacements, or other solutions to expand capability. APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY: This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 2 August 2019 at 2:00 P.M EST.
