TITLE: FA4809-08-Q-0091 Sole Source Acquisition for Office Furniture from UNICOR Federal Prison Industries, Inc. The 4th Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to award a sole source purchase order to UNICOR Federal Prison Industries, Inc. The required furniture will match existing furniture previously purchased from UNICOR Federal Prison Industries. Items to be purchased are: Desks, chairs, tables, cabinets, file drawers, credenzas, lockers, bookcases, wardrobes, sofas, stands, and various other pieces of office furniture for 916 ARW. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This purchase will also be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-5(a)(2) & (b)(1), Authorized or Required by Statute. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 14 Apr 08 at 4:00 P.M.
