The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division intends to modify an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Raytheon Company to increase the contract ceiling from $11.5 million to $25 million. This modification concerns the procurement of spares, repairs, engineering and technical services, and training related to Raytheon proprietary systems, assemblies, and subassemblies that support Special Projects Aircraft Systems and EP-3 Aircrafts. The increased funding will enable continued support for these critical systems necessary for the Navy's operational needs. This contract action is being pursued as a sole-source procurement due to the proprietary nature of all test benches, drawings, software, and test procedures associated with the radar systems, which are exclusive to Raytheon. Because this is an existing contract modification, no competitive solicitation will be issued, and the decision to proceed is at the discretion of the Government. Interested parties or those seeking additional information are directed to contact Ms. Kathy Gaither at NSWC Crane, with reference to the current BOA number. The contract falls under the NAICS code 334511, related to communication, detection, and coherent radiation equipment, and was publicly posted in June 2013.
