The contract, identified by solicitation number DJJI-11-RFP-0749, has an estimated value of 2 million dollars and covers a performance period from January 1, 2012, to December 31, 2017. The scope of work includes continued warranty coverage, 24/7 remote system monitoring, technical support, general maintenance, and on-site repairs. Service level requirements specify response times ranging from two hours for high severity issues to the next business day for low severity items. This procurement ensures the continued operational integrity of tactical wireless communications within the National Capital Region.

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after the date this notice is published will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
