The Office of the Chief Information Officer intends install new Linux servers to support the Library's Integrated Library System (ILS). In order to reduce the risk to the system the ILS Program Office requests engineering services from Ex Libris. The LC ILS is an enterprise-wide, mission critical system that is currently supported on nine Solaris servers. The contractor will perform Voyager application specific database and Oracle tuning for the Voyager servers listed below; check memory and shared parameters; tune the databases; check use of host names to ensure they are changed to the new host; and check SMS.
