The U.S. Department of Defense, through the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, has awarded a firm-fixed-price contract valued at $10,256,568.00 to Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Inc for the procurement of Sorafenib 200 MG tablets in 120-count bottles under solicitation SPE2D2-26-D-0016. The contract spans five years, beginning on May 28, 2026, with four optional years extending through 2030, each year requiring delivery of 420 bottles at escalating unit prices starting at $4,000.00 and increasing annually by 10% to reflect cost adjustments. The drug is manufactured at Bayer’s facility in Leverkusen, Germany, with U.S. administrative oversight handled by Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Inc in Whippany, New Jersey. Delivery is FOB destination to DLA and VA Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors, with inspection and acceptance conducted by the Government upon receipt. The contract includes comprehensive compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation clauses covering ethics, subcontracting, labor standards, trafficking prevention, whistleblower protections, cybersecurity restrictions, and supply chain security, including prohibitions on Kaspersky, ByteDance, and Xinjiang-sourced materials.
