The Western Area Power Administration, Sierra Nevada Region, is conducting a sources sought notice to gather market information for the replacement of KY1A bushings at the Trinity Substation located in Lewiston, California. The work requires a contractor to perform all tasks associated with replacing transformer bushings in accordance with original equipment manufacturer specifications and industry standards, including draining and circulating insulating oil, vacuum filling, pre- and post-electrical testing, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and IEEE C57.104 guidelines. The contractor must supply all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to complete the work safely and reliably, with a performance period from August 1, 2026, through November 30, 2026. All work is to be conducted on-site at the Trinity Substation, where the Government will provide site access, power, waste disposal, and historical data such as oil test reports and nameplate information.
