The Oakdale Irrigation District (OID) Southwest Pipeline through APNs: 062-030-011/012 and 062-031-004 (Parcels) has reached the end of its useful life and is in need of replacement. The existing pipeline alignment is in the path of the North County Corridor’s (NCC) planned phase 2 route. In order to avoid potential future impacts from the NCC, the existing pipeline is proposed to be realigned and replaced through the Parcels as part of the Southwest Pipeline Pool 5 Replacement Project (Project). Approximately one thousand six hundred forty-six (1,646) linear feet of 27” PVC pipeline is proposed to be installed in place of the existing 30” concrete pipeline. Construction will take place between November 1, 2026 and March 1, 2027 when the pipeline is dewatered. Neither the capacity nor service area of the Southwest Pipeline will be increased as a result of the Project. The Project is proposed to also include the installation of two (2) turnouts in place of existing valves on top of the Southwest Pipeline.
