The Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) is hosting an Innovation Summit focused on long-range science and technology aimed at advancing space and cyberspace superiority by the year 2030. Scheduled for July 8-9, 2015 at the SCITOR facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the summit consists of two phases. Phase One includes two full days split between space-focused discussions on the first day and cyberspace on the second, with classified segments to provide detailed insight into AFSPC’s strategic vision. The purpose is to encourage S&T experts from academia, industry, and research organizations to contribute innovative ideas and emerging technologies that could sustain and enhance U.S. dominance in these critical domains over the next 10-30 years. Participants are expected to think beyond current constraints, imagining how today's challenges may evolve and how new approaches can maintain the nation's warfighting edge. Phase Two, planned for early September 2015 at the same location, will feature presentations from various contributors offering their responses to the government's long-term challenges. Due to limited seating, participation is restricted to two individuals per organization per day and requires pre-registration by June 24, 2015. The event maintains strict security protocols and provides comprehensive guidance on logistics, rules of engagement, and engagement expectations, with post-event materials made available for those unable to attend. The announcement clarifies that this is not a formal solicitation, with attendance and information sharing voluntary and without government obligation or acquisition impact. Updates and additional details about the summit will be posted on the Defense Innovation Marketplace website.

Air Force Space Command Innovation Summit Announcement - Space and Cyberspace Superiority 2030 Synopsis: Air Force Space Command's (AFSPC) Chief Scientist will begin an Innovation Summit this summer, consisting of a short series of technology interchanges focused on long range science and technology (S&T) for advancing space and cyberspace superiority. We define long range as three Future Year Defense Programs (FYDPs) from now, or 10-30 years from now. These meetings seek participants (namely the S&T experts) from academia, research organizations, and industry and will consist of two phases. Phase One will be a two-day event, held 8-9 July 2015 at the SCITOR facility in Colorado Springs CO, with a space-focused day on the 8th and cyberspace-focused day on the 9th. Each day will include a classified portion, to better inform you of the AFSPC vision unencumbered. The objective of this two day event will be for the AFSPC Chief Scientist to layout, define, and generate thought-provoking innovations intended to help us meet and exceed our nation's Space and Cyberspace Long-Term S&T challenges. The goal is to challenge participants to search within and beyond their organizations' innovative ideas, emerging technologies and creative approaches to sustain superiority in both Space and Cyberspace domains. Our hope is that Industrial and commercial sector visionaries go beyond boundaries and constraints and make assumptions on how today's challenges can be transformed several FYDPs from now and how we can develop and maintain our warfighting edge for years to come. Phase Two will be the presentation of ideas from across industry, academia, and research organizations on their response to the government's challenges for the long range. This phase is expected to occur in early September 2015, again at the SCITOR facility. More details will follow on this front, so please stay tuned for updates on this series of events. Subsequent updates will be announced using the Defense Innovation Marketplace site at http://www.defenseinnovationmarketplace.mil/space.html designed and maturing each day as a central repository of government-Industry data exchanges that has proven security protocols for those data exchanges. We will provide participants with an entire suite of data points on rules of engagement, logistics, security requirements, engagement expectations, feedback, and the way forward after the event. Seating is limited, it is therefore of critical importance to note, pre-registration is required to ensure access to the SCITOR facility. Participation is limited to two (2) people per organization, per day unless otherwise requested or coordinated. To register, please contact Lt Col Don Rhymer (+1 (555) 000-0000, contact@example.gov) in the AFSPC Chief Scientist's office no later than 24 June 2015, with your intent and commitment to participate. Dress for the event is business casual or for military, Uniform of the Day (UOD). For those that cannot attend Phase One, slides will be posted following the event at a location accessible to most. Additionally, we will update this FBO and/or the Defense Innovation Marketplace announcement in June with additional details to include SCITOR access and agenda and Phase 2 details as they are developed. If you have any questions, please direct them to Lt Col Don Rhymer. Disclaimer This AFSPC announcement does not constitute a formal solicitation or request and does not obligate the Government in any way. Responses and attendance at either phase of the Innovation Summit and any discussion/release of information is strictly voluntary as an expression of interest and will not impact future acquisitions. The Government reserves the right to cancel this event at any time. The Government will not be responsible for any associated costs as a result of prospective offeror's interest and/or response to this notice.

Enabling Technology for Future Missions
Solicitation # 9F063-20260085
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is soliciting proposals under solicitation number 9F063-20260085 for the development of one to three enabling technologies to support future space missions. The primary objective is to advance strategic technologies to reduce technical uncertainties and support the implementation of future Canadian space activities. A specific focus of this effort is the maturation of a lightweight, athermal reflecting telescope capability to Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5. This includes the delivery of a reflecting telescope brassboard validated for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) vibration and thermal-vacuum environments, intended for Earth Observation imaging payloads on CubeSats of 4U or larger, with the telescope itself being 2U or less. Key performance targets include a Ground Sampling Distance of less than 7 metres and a swath width greater than 5 km. The project is planned for a duration of 16 months, structured around five key milestones: a Kick-off meeting, Preliminary Design Review, Detailed Design Review/Work Authorization Meeting, Test Readiness Review, and a Final Review meeting. Deliverables include the hardware brassboard, CAD and performance analysis models, software, and a Technology Roadmap for advancing to TRL 6-8. This solicitation is restricted to Canadian suppliers. Awards will be based on the highest combined rating of technical merit (60 percent) and price (40 percent), with a minimum technical score of 70 points required for consideration. The procurement process includes strict requirements for security clearances, intellectual property disclosure, and adherence to environmentally preferable packaging standards.

Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library
Solicitation # 80JSC025_CLDC_TECH_LIBRARY
The Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library, managed by the NASA Johnson Space Center, serves as a centralized repository of technical standards, plans, and guidelines for potential offerors. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to support the development of private LEO space destinations and supporting systems as NASA prepares for the retirement of the International Space Station. The library provides a series of data drops containing both controlled and uncontrolled technical data, including standards for docking systems, payload interfaces, and crew health operations. It also outlines specific NASA center capabilities and high-value engineering products available to industry partners to reduce technical and schedule risks. It is important to note that this activity is a special notice and does not constitute a Request for Proposals, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Quotation. No proposals are to be submitted in response to this notice, and it does not represent a commitment by the government to enter into a contract. Access to export-controlled content requires the submission of a specific request form and compliance with U.S. export regulations, including the implementation of Technology Transfer Control Plans and Non-Disclosure Agreements for foreign nationals. The library is intended to keep industry updated on current NASA technical standards in anticipation of future FAR-based acquisitions.
