THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing intends to award, on a sole source basis, a contract to KBA Nota-Sys, Inc. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement for critical spare parts supplies to support the new Wiping Solution Recycling Plant as designed and built by KBA. The new system is part of the industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Plant located in Washington, D.C. The spare parts were not purchased under the original equipment purchase, but must be obtained in order to start up the equipment. Attachment A, illustrates the highly specialized parts to this equipment. The Aqua Save II is a KBA system. The equipment did not include any spare parts. This contract will ensure that the system can be started up without critical failures that would otherwise delays the operation for weeks or months waiting on replacement parts costing the BEP delay on the projects and additional funds due to start up delays. BEP is requesting new parts and they must provide 100% fit and functionality for the parts for the KBA Aqua Save II system. Please see Attachment -A for a full list of all required KBA parts. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. Responses to this notice shall be received by 27 July 2015 at 12:00 P.M. EST. All responses must be in writing only via email to the point of contacts specified in this notice. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
