The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals is to establish the requirements for qualified offerors to establish a contract with a vendor or multiple vendors to provide staffing for the Chesapeake Public Schools and particularly for the Exceptional Learning Department. The Contractor shall provide credentialed professionals to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education laws and regulations.
The services provided must support the district’s obligation to provide Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and related regulations. The staffing needs includes but not limited to the list below. Offerors are encourage to make additional offers if any. Speech-Language Pathologist Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L, MS,OTR/L, OTD/L) Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) Licensed Physical Therapist (PT, MSPT, DPT) Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) School Psychologist Teacher for the Visually Impaired Orientation and Mobility Specialist Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Sign Language Interpreter (must meet one of the following) School Based Audiologist School Social Worker School Nurse (RN) Clinic Assistant (LPN, EMT, CNA, MA or other relevant clinical experience) Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
