Full Description
U.S. Army Contracting Command, Office of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Division (ACC-APG, Natick Division), located in Natick, Massachusetts, intends to award the following in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, Soldier Center, G4 – Facilities/Chambers (DEVCOM-SC, G4).
ACC-APG, Natick Division intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract modification under the authority of RFO FAR 12.102(a) for additional work to SMART LLC, located at 160 Second Street, Suite 216, Chelsea, MA 02150-1800.
The proposed work is the removal of DowTherm J from the Doriot Climatic Chambers Wind Tunnel fluid systems and storage tanks in/around Building 2 at the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center. Subsequently, the Contractor will replumb the Tropical Wind Tunnel water circulation system with copper piping to alleviate ongoing leaks with the existing schedule 80 piping.
The period of performance will run twenty (20) weeks after issuance of a Notice to Proceed (NTP). It is anticipated that this contract modification will be awarded on or before September 15, 2026.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. There is no solicitation document. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which would be considered by the agency. Any response should demonstrate how the source can provide the requirements identified above without incurring unacceptable delays or duplicative costs to the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action is within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.

The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. All costs associated with responding to this notice will be solely at the expense of the interested source.
