--Special Notice of Anticipated Commercial Work by the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, AZ.

U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona anticipates providing services to commercial entities under the provisions of Title 10 of the United States Code, Section 2861. The general nature of the anticipated commercial work is as follows: USA YPG plans, executes and reports the results of Developmental Tests (DT) and integrated DT/OT (Operational Tests) on a variety of materiel, including Artillery, Aviation, Air Delivery, Automotive, Combat Systems, General/Soldier Equipment and Munitions usin g state-of-the-art shared technical support infrastructure and an extensive complex of in-place test facilities, test courses, environmental chambers and firing ranges. These existing capabilities combined with USAYPGs mission of being DODs natural envi ronmental tester with over 1 million acres of access to test areas and restricted airspace in the desert, cold and tropic regions, provide a unique combination of single source capabilities which can provide a wide spectrum of services from real-world envi ronment testing through simulated (chamber) testing to support modeling and simulation effects. These services and facilities are available to all Department of Defense agencies, other United States government agencies, foreign governments, universities, research and development laboratories and private industry on a cost reimbursable basis. Private sector entities are invited to submit expressions of capability to perform services of the same general nature as listed above. This information will be main tained in a file and made available to prospective commercial customers for their use in determining if private sector enterprises may be able to satisfy their requirements.
