The U.S. Government intends to award a sole source contract to PASCO Scientific for laboratory power supply equipment, specifically the PASCO SE-9644 DC Power Supply II, to support the Physics & Nuclear Engineering Department at the United States Military Academy. This contract aims to expand the existing PASCO equipment in use to maintain compatibility and uniformity across the laboratory. Although the current plan is a sole source award to PASCO, this Sources Sought Notice invites all interested businesses, including small and socioeconomically disadvantaged firms, to identify their capabilities and interest in competing for the requirement to promote competitive procurement where possible. The contract will be awarded under the NAICS code 334419 and governed by the sole source procurement authority under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Responders are requested to provide detailed information such as company identification, business size status, past similar experience, pricing, delivery schedules, and recommendations for structuring the requirement to enhance competition. The notice stresses that it is not a solicitation but a market research effort to better understand and possibly enable competitive offerings. Responses should address any factors thought to unnecessarily restrict competition and suggest improvements to the acquisition approach. All information gathered will assist in determining if the procurement remains a sole source or if competitive options are feasible. Responses should be sent to the designated contracting officer, with clear reference to the Sources Sought Notice number.
