Specialty Engineering Services on an As-Needed Basis

Description of Goods or Services: Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (“ Authority”), which is responsible for operating and maintaining seven toll bridge and two tunnel facilities and all associated buildings and ancillary structures, is seeking to contract with up to five contracts to New York state licensed professional engineering firms (each referred to as “Consultant”) which will provide consultant specialty professional engineering services on an as-needed Work Order basis drawing upon subject matter expertise in disciplines in which the Authority does not currently have the expertise required for a specific project or task. The specialty engineering expertise may be needed to review non-Authority construction projects for potential impacts on Authority facilities and operations, to perform specialty investigations and evaluations, or to provide as-needed technical assistance to Facility Engineering and Program Technical Services staff. The Authority anticipates that the selected professional engineering firms overall will have existing capabilities and in-house staff resources to perform many of the specialty professional engineering services required for a specific project or task, but may, for a specific project or task, need to subcontract. Any subcontractor (firm and proposed staff) will be subject to the Authority’s review and approval.
