The contract involves the replacement of the driveway at the Middle Road IRA facility located at 1678 Middle Road in Rush, NY, scheduled for Spring 2026. The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) through its Contract Management Unit is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors to perform the necessary construction work. Bidders are encouraged to attend scheduled site visits on September 25, 2025, to assess existing conditions and take measurements, with prior notification required 48 hours in advance. The project documentation, including the full set of drawings and specifications, is available for review, and adherence to all bidding requirements, including submission of security deposits, pre-award documentation, and proof of insurance, is mandatory. The project emphasizes compliance with prevailing wages and mandates registration with the New York State Department of Labor for all contractors and subcontractors involved after December 30, 2024. The scope of work is detailed in the project manual and construction drawings, which specify concrete work, site preparation, and adherence to NYSDOT standards. The bid submission deadline is November 4, 2025, and the contract will be awarded based on the lowest responsible bid, with considerations for minority and women-owned business enterprise participation, although the set-aside goals are currently zero percent. The contract is part of a broader effort to maintain and improve facilities for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring safety, accessibility, and compliance with state regulations. The documentation and process are designed to ensure transparency, responsible bidding, and successful project completion within the specified timeline.
